Important Message Regarding Halloween Costumes at Eagle View Elementary

Dear parents and families,

In light of the recent media attention on clown threats I am writing to advise parents and students that it is recommended students refrain from wearing clown costumes to school for Halloween celebrations.  As a result of recent incidences, clown costumes could potentially  be upsetting to young children and prompt negative or adverse reactions in others.  It is our goal to support a positive Halloween experience for all learners at Eagle View. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

 Respectfully,

 Mr. Deacon

Chat Café Going Strong!

Wow! So much great info being shared at our weekly chat café sessions.  This past Tuesday we welcomed our first guest speaker Judi from NICCCS who led the conversation on the topic of virtues.  We discussed how speaking the language of virtues instead of using negative language could change our perception of how we see the world.  It was such an empowering information session.  Be sure to check out this project at the following link…. www.virtuesproject.com

Do you think you might be interested in having more sessions dedicated on the Virtues Project where we look more closely at virtues to build capacity?  If so, please connect with me at the school 250-230-2728 or email nwilson@sd85.bc.ca

Our 5th session is coming up this next Tuesday, Oct 25th…please come join us!

Cheers,

Nadia Wilson
