Students Baking For The Trustee Visit

Here are some photos of students who helped out either by preparing food, organizing equipment, setting up or cleaning up for the school trustee/board visit today.

Ms. Huddlestan arrived in the back hall to find Ammeilya bright eyed, waiting to get started and sporting a new apron her grandma made just for her over the weekend ❤️

John enjoyed measuring ingredients to add to the mixing bowls. He also arranged the cookie trays and counted to see if we had enough for all. He was an avid taste tester and food critic.

Aalyah R was quite taken with her job of grating fresh ginger, which she’d never seen before. I also tasked her with zesting an orange; who knew we could bake with peels?!

Nicole was an eager participant who beamed with pride to be able to bake for others. Did I mention she was eager?!!

Kaylene W-G was an absolute superstar when it came to washing dishes as quickly as we’d used them. She took her task very seriously; even scrubbing out the grungy dish rack and tray (within in an inch of their lives!).

It was decided by the students that the rest of the leftovers were to be saved to put out for staff tomorrow. They were quite adamant that their teachers get to taste the creations.
